General Cleaning
Recommendations
✔ For daily care, use a mild liquid detergent, preferably one containing alcohol.
✔ For minor limescale buildup, use a mild citric acid-based descaling agent.
✔ Always use a soft cotton cloth to clean the surface and avoid scratching.
Avoid the following
× Abrasive pads, scouring powder, steel wool, or microfiber cloths
× Strong acids such as hydrochloric acid, acetic acid, or formic acid
× Cleaners containing bleach (sodium hypochlorite)
× Mixing multiple cleaning agents may cause a chemical reaction
Aerator Maintenance
To ensure smooth water flow and prevent clogging, clean the aerator regularly:
Use the included tool or a coin to remove the aerator.
Soak it in warm water and a mild citric acid cleaner.
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for concentration and soaking time.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water and wipe dry with a soft cloth before reinstalling.
Shower head maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal spray performance and longevity:
Gently rub the soft nozzle with your fingers to remove limescale.
For a deeper clean, soak the spray surface in a mild citric acid solution.
Rinse with plenty of water and wipe dry with a soft cloth.
Mirror care
Not all glass cleaners are suitable for mirrors. Avoid harsh chemicals and always:
Use plenty of clean water to prevent particle abrasion.
For stubborn spots, use dishwashing liquid diluted in warm water.
Avoid alkaline or acidic cleaners and products containing ammonia.
Dry the mirror frequently with a soft dry cloth, especially the lower edge.
Mirror frame (powder-coated surface)
Use only a soft cloth or industrial-grade cotton.
Wash with warm water and pH-neutral detergent.
Avoid strong friction, abrasives, and high-temperature cleaning.
For heavier stains, use aromatic-free gasoline with caution to clean hidden areas.
Special Surface Treatment - PVD Coating
EMPOLO uses advanced PVD technology to achieve a durable, refined surface.
In case of fingerprints, apply stainless steel care oil lightly and evenly.
Avoid contact with natural stone or untreated surfaces to prevent staining.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents such as esters, ketones, alcohols, or hydrocarbons.
